#6 "Sounding-together" 301 (Audiation unbound)

From the mss:  On Beyond Waldorf, Team Human K-12 Education; Goethean Psychology Applied to Child Development and K-12 Schooling; Some Assembly Required The wholes we have in mind quote Participant report from Tone and Sound, led by Manfred Bleffert Manfred then gave us the image of the four animals from the Grimm’s fairy tale, “The Bremen Town Musicians”: donkey, dog, cat, and rooster. He further suggested these four represent four different levels (members) of human consciousness: Donkey Physical body Dog Astral (sensory) body Cat Etheric body Rooster Yadda-yadda waking self crowing about itself, from the neck-up Several individuals tried an exercise on the xylophone, playing the movement pattern (rhythm) of one animal. The rest of us had to guess which animal the musical rhythm portrayed. After each "tryout" the group voted for the rhythm most appealing to them for each animal. Next two xylophones, each with a different p

#5 Goethean Psychology is Multiple meanings sounding-together

From the mss:  On Beyond Waldorf,  Team Human K-12 Education;  Goethean Psychology Applied to Child Development and K-12 Schooling;  Some Assembly Required The wholes we have in mind A great wisdom of Goethean Psychology, thru Waldorf theory-method, is exercising your capacity to hear multiple meanings sounding-together in a greater whole. The classic example here is naturally, a tuba or trombone, sounding alone may not sound like much; yet, as part of a chorus of instruments, in an orchestra, a tuba or trombone can add magnificence. The way we make the maximum sense of any music, orchestral, choirs, commercial pop songs--is by listening to hear all the components sounding together. In acoustic guitar playing, this can be as simple as hearing vocals and music sounding together. The phrase "sounding together" sometimes "sounding-together" seems to come from Rudolf Steiner but Mr. Google has no conclusive evidence. Now the time

#4 Emotional Intelligence is now part of The Whole

On Beyond Waldorf, Team Human K-12 Education; Goethean Psychology Applied to Child Development and K-12 Schooling; Some Assembly Required The wholes we have in mind Emotional Intelligence is now part of the whole I understand the "me Too" movement and sexual mis-conduct are big topics in 2018. Behind or below the tip of this iceberg are the bigger ideas of "Emotional Intelligence" and 'interpersonal competency.' Since about 1995 any-every Progressive org benefits by including these in the "wholes we have in mind." Emotional Intelligence or "EQ," incorporating 'interpersonal competency' (which takes us beyond where Daniel Goleman's books left off), have both Outer Game and Inner Game aspects. Outer Game of EQ Can you improve on this: When two or more waking persons wish to work together as teammates, it benefits both to mindfully practice specific methods to avoid and moderate int

#3 The wholes we have in mind re Creation + Soul and Above

On Beyond Waldorf,  Team Human K-12 Education;  Goethean Psychology Applied to Child Development and K-12 Schooling;  Some Assembly Required I believe any and every Progressive and/or Cultural Creative org, group or association benefits by having at the start an explicit ecumenical "plank." Why? It bespeaks "tolerance," "inclusion" and "lack of judgement" better than any other platform plank I know of. What's your conception of Creation and Soul and Above? Later I'll share mine. Q: Why does K-12 ed need to acknowledge anything spiritual? Can't we remain atheistic-agnostic as we have been since corporations took over all the commons? A: No. The atheistic-agnostic trends in post-2012 world culture primarily track back to corporate-consumer-paternalistic-capitalism-oligarchy. Briefly: atheism and agnosticism are perceived as safer and more conducive for commerce, buying and selling. The ideal parent for and

#2 Many ways into the hologram of Team Human K-12 ed.

From a manuscript:   On Beyond Waldorf,  Team Human K-12 Education;  Goethean Psychology Applied to Child Development and K-12 Schooling;  Some Assembly Required Iceberg and Pyramid models for all successful K-12 school systems Later, there's more to say on Constructivism converged with Emotional Intelligence. For the moment, let's appreciate how successful schools are like an iceberg: dg-schools-as-iceberg Above the surface, visible in the "light of day" are the curriculum and day to day procedures. Below the water's surface are the teaching methods and philosophy. These are only dimly visible from the outside, from the surface. Below what can be seen dimly thru the water, is the support aspects, mostly unknown or completely invisible to external observers. These are the values; and, any consensus on truly human values held by local stakeholders. We can add nuance to the top-down sequencing of Team Human K-12 by imagini
