Later, there's more to say on Constructivism converged with Emotional Intelligence. For the moment, let's appreciate how successful schools are like an iceberg:

Above the surface, visible in the "light of day" are the curriculum and day to day procedures.
Below the water's surface are the teaching methods and philosophy. These are only dimly visible from the outside, from the surface.
Below what can be seen dimly thru the water, is the support aspects, mostly unknown or completely invisible to external observers. These are the values; and, any consensus on truly human values held by local stakeholders.
We can add nuance to the top-down sequencing of Team Human K-12 by imagining it like a pyramid:
K-12 curriculum
Emotionally Intelligent adult interpersonal relations;
and, healthy large group
process formats
Goethean Psychology applied to K-12 methods
Goethean Holistic Psychology child-human development theories and models
Goethean Holistic Science, The Three Sciences We Use Everyday
Further Unconscious Patterns, those aligned with truly human values

In both iceberg and pyramid, "curriculum" and "method" are more "outer" elements, the "tail of the dog," are above.
The wagging tail of the dog, the part most visible to us, is above. The body of the dog, the inner part of the dog making the tail wag, is below.
We always want to ask, "What is making this tail wag?"
If what makes the tail of your school wag is a charismatic founder-leader, and nothing more, your dog is unlikely to be able to reproduce. A more solid inner foundation is what makes school successes replicable in new cities.
